Google search tricks

Google is one of the power house technology company. Google is powerful search engine, there are different tricks to search the content which many people are unaware, we will be revealing all thos tricks in here.

Trick 1. Calculator - Use the Google Search engine as a calculator by typing a math problem in the search box. For example, typing: 800 + 200 would display results as 1000.

Trick 2. Find out what time it is anywhere in the world - This is handy trick to find out time of different cities, Just search for “time” and then the name of the city. For example, try: time London.

Trick 3. Search within a specific kind of site - If you know you only want results from an educational site, try“site:edu” or for a government site, try “site:gov” and your search term to get results only from sites with those web addresses.

Trick 4. Search for specific document types - Google can search the web for specific types of files using the“filetype:” operator. If you’re looking for PDF files about GFC, for example, you could try: GFC filetype:PDF i.e GFC PDF.

Trick 5. Search for a face - If you are looking for a person and not just their name, type “&imgtype=face” afterthe search results to narrow your results to those with images of faces.

Trick 6. Track packages - Enter a FedEx, USPS or UPS tracking number to get a direct link to track your packages.

Trick 7. Definitions - If you want definition of any certain word you can get the definiton by typing define followed by the word you want the definition for. For example, typing: define computer would display the definition of computer.

Trick 8. Exclude specific terms with the – operator - You can narrow your seach with - operator, lets say you want to search about Grand Prix but you don't want Singapore Grand Prix information, you can exclude using - operator, for example; "Grand prix" -Singapore. 

Trick 9. Search within numerical ranges using the .. operator - If you want to look up information on certain incident between certain time you can narrow down your search with .. operator, for example; if you want to search champions league results between 1995 to 2000, you could use this search champions league result 1995..2000

Trick 10. Keep track of the stocks - You can track stock market easily in google search box by using ticker : , for example if you want to know the stock of google you have to put stocks:google in google search box.
